Head of Corporate Finance

After graduating with an Accountancy degree from what is now Birmingham City University Guy joined Kidsons Chartered Accountants and developed audit and corporate finance skills before leaving to buy a practice of his own. Since the late 1980s Guy has focused on providing corporate finance-related services to the SME sector and joined Cottons as Corporate Finance Director in May 2009. He is involved in business acquisitions, finance raising, succession planning and business disposals, strategic planning and forecasting, tax efficient corporate structuring and employee incentives, company and business valuations. Guy also holds the corporate finance qualification and has a wealth of experience in the sector. Also with 4 years of experience working as international group finance director of a worldwide family owned group, Guy gained valuable experience in strategic and financial development. For many of his clients Guy has also undertaken some significant project work in Asia, Middle East, Australia, USA and Europe.

In his spare time Guy is a keen international traveller having visited over 40 different countries in the world. Guy also enjoys walking in the countryside with his wife and dog, he also reads a lot and enjoys watching sport.
